School Guide is an independent resource that offers the most comprehensive schools data in the UK with information on over 34,000 schools in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including 2,500 independent schools. Parents can search for any primary, secondary and independent school by name, location or postcode and see official school statistics displayed in a parent-friendly and clear visual format. School Guide has its own star rating system and publishes its own league tables, making it easy for parents to compare. School Guide also has its own Happiness Rating, answering every parents question: how happy are the children at this school?

CAMPAIGN

A PR campaign was launched to announce the exclusive partnership between School Guide and Rightmove. Rightmove’s ‘School Checker’ linked through to School Guide’s data to provide a catchment indicator ‘heat map’ to show the nearest schools to a property, and the likelihood of being admitted to each school, using recent official pupil data. Ranging from green to red, the chances vary from Very Likely to Not Likely.

This PR campaign received extensive UK-wide press coverage, significantly increasing School Guide’s sign ups and helped to position School Guide as one of the UK’s most reliable and useful sources of school data.
